| Things To Do on Vieques: |
Vieques is a make-your-own-adventure
island with mom and pop stores -- no chains, franchises, or cruise ships. Living in a
Vieques rental is like stepping back to a better time.
You are left to your own to discover the wonders of the island. The beaches are undeveloped,
unspoiled and private. You may be one of only a handful of people on a half-mile stretch of
glistening white sand.

If it is casinos, golf and nightlife you desire then a ferry ride or flight to Fajardo will
quench this thirst.

Some other points of interest are the Punta Mulas LightHouse, Fort Conde
de Mirasol and the Historical Trust. All are open to the public and
noteworthy of visiting. The roads are narrow and windy and horses,
goats or cows abound without fences so driving is interesting.

The Island is known as an ecotourism delight -- with mountain biking tours, bird watching,
kayaking, scuba diving and snorkeling. Acres and acres of undeveloped land are at the visitor's
fingertips. The people are friendly and most are bilingual. The islands of PR are beginning to
be called the Spanish Virgin Islands, because of their combination of Latin, Caribbean and
American rhythms.

To sum it up, Vieques is a rarity, homage to the best of the past. To find out more information

| A must see is the Bioluminescent Bay. This is the best example of this
phenomenon in the world and will absolutely astound you. The mysterious blue-green light is created
by micro-organisms which thrive in an environment uniquely suited to their needs. A trip into
the bay on a balmy night is a magical experience. Fish flash by in dark water, and a swim is
like floating through stardust. Photo taken by Doug Myerscough
